Sunday 6th June 2010 -AMBERLEY OPEN GARDENS

Every two years, many of the gardens in the West Sussex village of Amberley are open to the public to raise money for our chosen charities.

The main charity this year is Action  (formerly Action Medical Research) together with several smaller local charities which we will announce nearer to the event.

We had a successful event in 2008. These photos show a selection of the publicly opened sites.

This year the gardens will be open from 2.00pm to 6.00pm and the entrance fees are £6.00 for adults. Children under 12 accompanied by adults are admitted free.

We plan to have around 15 gardens open spread around the scenic village.

Free parking will be available.

Catering

The village has two pubs:

The Black Horse and The Sportsman and lunches will be available in both.

Afternoon teas will also be served in the Village. Locations will be announced later.

The Village Store is open all day

Activities

We plan to hold a plant sale, refreshments stall, tombola and other activities.

Unfortunately, because the gardens are private with some pets, and the plants are fragile, we have to insist on a strictly NO DOGS rule.
